Kay Watson was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. She comes from a background of 25 years in Emergency Department Nursing and brings a special care for people’s needs and concerns when working with her real estate clients. Kay Watson attended Madonna University and earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree and a Masters of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan. Her knowledge and skills in these sciences give her a unique insight into how to help people with their concerns by active listening and being of service. As a RN in a busy urban hospital, she developed skills in negotiating, having attention to detail, and being creative to meet an ever-changing environment. Kay Watson entered the Real Estate world in order to promote professionalism in this field by offering to genuinely want to help people. Buying a home can be very stressful for many reasons (empty-nesters, loss of a spouse, first home, upsizing, downsizing, new job, etc.). Listing a current home or finding a new home is only the beginning. She believes she needs to wear many hats during the pathway to closing. She likes the challenge of making people happy and decreasing their stress. She strives for lifetime relationships with her clients and their families. Kay Watson is married and has 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren. Her and her husband bought their first home in Naples in 1985 and used it a rental. They bought and sold several homes since then using 1031 trades. She splits her time between metro Detroit, MI and Venice, FL and has her Realtors license in both states. When not working with clients, she spends time gardening, cooking, boating, fishing, hiking, reading, and researching her family’s interesting genealogy.
